Thank you so much for all you did to make my son's (Justin and Angela) wedding so beautiful. The venue was absolutely stunning and the decoration were amazing. The food was delicious and the cake was beautiful. The pictures came out fantastic. You caught everything from raw emotion to the sheer beauty of the moment. Thank you for all the added touches you three in by going above and beyond for us. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day.

If I could rate higher, I would. My husband and I were married here almost a month ago now. Wendy and I planned my wedding over the timeframe of about 1 year. Let me stop right here and say SHE IS INCREDIBLE. From the beginning, everything was on the table. Wendy never left me feeling in the dark or confused about what was offered. She and her team supply and offer SO much. Throughout the year of planning she was very easy to get a hold of if needed. She always responded within about an hour! I cannot say enough good things about 1812 Hitching Post, and I seriously suggest you to make an appointment to check out the property and meet with Wendy. This venue offers EVERYTHING. You can elope here and just show up in your dress & it'll still be gorgeous. There are packages for any kind of wedding. They include as much as you could desire (except the dress). Seriously-they offer everything besides the dress and the groom! The Big Day was MAGIC!! The only thing I would change is that I wish it didn't end! Everything was beyond perfect (and I am a little bit of a control freak). Wendy and her team took the reigns and way over delivered. We had about 100 people, and every single person keeps telling us how beautiful the ceremony was and how much fun the reception was. It was so well organized, nothing went wrong at all. The music was fantastic, timing was on-point. Food was great! Cake was GORGEOUS AND DELICIOUS! I cannot even explain how perfect everything was. If you have a tiny inkling to consider 1812 for your wedding, GET IT BOOKED!!! You won't regret it. If I could do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing. These guys know what they're doing, and do it with grace. I had zero worries and I feel like I owe that all to Wendy. THANK YOU THANK YOU 1812 HP!!!

Wendy was extremely helpful in planning my small wedding. She responded very quickly to every email and question I had, was flexible with all changes I had to make....even as close as a week till the event. She was extra accommodating to every request I had of the facility. It resulted in exactly the wedding my husband and I both envisioned for our selves. I am so glad that I had my wedding at The Hitching post, it was a beautiful location that has really given us memories that will last a life time. If you are looking for a wedding location in NC, no matter big or small check this place out!

The Waldrons provided the most exquisite service ,in an extremely convenient package. In addition , from the moment we arrived they made my wife , myself and all of our guests feel like family. By the time we departed I found myself feeling as though I was leaving family behind. 1812 is a five star venue without question , from the cake decoration , all the way through the last photograph. As far as the venue itself , I cannot express how beautiful it is. The landscaping is out of this world , and you will find yourself wanting to wander for hours just to discover all of it's hidden secrets. For those of you wanting a phenomenal wedding to fit any budget , this is absolutely the venue for you. As a side note , on the most important day of my life , I forgot my shoes. As the word passed and I began to panic , Wendy arrived and assured me that everything would be just fine. She in fact, figured out exactly how to strike a perfect balance , and turned a huge negative into a humorous aside , and helped me play it up into a lifelong memory.

I cannot say enough positive things about this venue and the owners! The location is simply gorgeous, from the artfully landscaped grounds, to the majestic old house. The Waldrons are wonderfully kind people who really know how to make a wedding beautiful, special, personal, and stress free! It is truly an all-inclusive venue where no detail will be overlooked. Wendy was a pleasure to work with and put me at ease from the planning phase through our wedding day. My husband and I could not have asked for a more perfect experience. Every aspect of our day was exactly what we hoped for in a small, intimate wedding, and more! I am happy to add that our special day went off without a single glitch, but most definitely ended with a "hitch". ;-) I offer highest recommendations for the 1812 Hitching Post. Match 26, 2017 Wedding. Although we only eloped, Wendy made this day very special for my husband and I. It rained of course, but our wedding was still beautiful. She even went as far as to provide our cake (free of charge) due to the weather. The cake was beautiful! Wendy, has a sweet spirit. She was always punctual and always answered when I needed her. She greeted my family and I with a warm welcome! She was genuine, honest and very loving to my family! Thank you Mrs. Waldron! We loved our day!

I can't say enough great things about the 1812 Hitching Post! We just got married in October and our day was perfect. I know every couple probably thinks their wedding day is perfect but ours was truly the best. Wendy and her staff went above and beyond our expectations. We live about four hours away from the venue and only visited twice before the wedding, so our correspondence was mainly through email. Wendy quickly responded and was attentive; thoroughly answering every question, concern, and thought. We really just gave her a basic idea of what we wanted and she took it and ran. On our wedding day, I was blown away at how beautiful it was. It was amazing to see how our day come to life. And most importantly, Wendy and her staff kept the wedding running on time, they were kind to us and our families, were respectful, and fun. So, so, fun. We even stayed in the cottage attached to the venue for the wedding night. It was a perfect end to our perfect day.

Wendy made sure that our wedding was everything we had hoped for and more. She made the entire process as easy as possible (planning a wedding is never easy, but I imagine this was much easier than some lol). She was kind, helpful, and accommodating even though I tend to run eternally late to everything. This woman has to be planning at least 5 weddings at any given time, yet I was always made to feel as if my wedding was priority and she did not skip a beat in picking up where we last left off in any form of communication. On the day of the wedding, I was blown away. Everything was so much more beautiful than I could have imagined. The photographer, Taylor, captured beautiful moments and I've only seen the sneak peak so far. The dj played all the songs we asked for and seemed to be able to take it on his own where we didn't fill in, with music just our taste. The food was EXCELLENT (what little we had a chance to eat, being Bride and groom is a busy task!). Cannot say enough good about Wendy, this venue, and all of the people she has on her team. Our wedding was the best day of both of our lives and couldn't have happened as it did without her.

Wendy did a great job! We chose the deluxe elopement and it was perfect! My husband and I wanted all the pictures and memories of a wedding, without the fuss and stress. This was perfect. We picked our colors, cake, song and it was done! Would definitely recommend!

Wendy and the staff at 1812 Hitching Post were absolutely wonderful to work with. The location is absolutely beautiful and very well maintained. We unfortunately had to postpone our wedding due to my father having some major medical issues. Wendy was empathetic and so willing to work with us to make different arrangements without any hidden fees or charges. Once we rescheduled Wendy did a wonderful job to accommodate my dad walking me down the aisle in his wheel chair. My favorite thing about 1812 Hitching Post is that they take care of everything for such a reasonable cost. They do decorations, photography, cake, directing, minister, etc. They did great at giving me a list of what I needed to bring and I didn't have to worry about anything else which allowed me to truly enjoy my special day. I would absolutely recommend 1812 Hitching Post to anyone without hesitation!! Greg & Laura McGuire

Wendy and all the staff at the Hitching Post did a fabulous job with our wedding! Throughout the planning process Wendy was great with returning emails and answering any questions I had. We felt like we got a wedding planner included with everything. After visiting the Hitching Post and looking through some of their photos, Wendy requested that I send her some ideas on decorations and cake. She did an awesome job recreating all the Pinterest ideas I sent and our cake was beautiful! The Hitching Post took care of the decorations, flowers (other than bouquets and boutonnieres), cake, food, DJ, photographer and bartenders. They were extremely affordable and open about cost. Our wedding day went perfectly and everything was beautiful. We had so many compliments on our wedding and on the venue! We also got our engagement photos done there for a very good cost, and it was great to be able to work with the photographer before the wedding to get a feel for her style. We loved our photos from both the engagement shoot and the wedding.

Everything went off without a hitch. Living in California and trying to plan a wedding in North Carolina seemed impossible until Wendy came along and took care of everything. A beautiful setting and everything we expected.
