This place is absolutely beautiful. The owner and coordinator, Wendy, is a god send. She was so helpful throughout my YEAR of planning the wedding. She was always available and always helpful. My wedding day could not have went more smoothly thanks to her. I love that the packages they offer are customizable to fit your budget and she does anything to help make sure your day is everything you want!

We got married in may 11th and we both had a blast. Our friends and family only had wonderful things to say about the organization of the day and the music choices. The ceremony was by the oak tree and was beautiful!

Went to a friend’s wedding and reception here last weekend. Staff were courteous, helpful, and nothing but professional. The grounds are beautiful and there is ample parking for a small or medium-sized ceremony. Beautiful venue with loads of charm.

I wish I could add 5 more stars - 10/10 experience with The 1812! They were our first venue to visit, and we knew before we got home that we'd be committing to having our wedding here. The property is simply beautiful, with plenty of history and sights all over! All of the crew are simply lovely people who will do everything they can to make your event go as great as possible. Wendy has a real knack for everything weddings. She was in constant contact with us since the appointment to first introduce us to the venue. She was able to provide so much assistance and guidance every day, so the wedding went with only one hitch - ours! Our guests are still raving about the venue, and we will absolutely be guiding folks here in the future!

Everything is magical at The 1812 Hitching Post! Our daughter was married there on August 26th in a small ceremony including reception and it was beautiful! Wendy took care of everything and was so easy to work with and responsive. We are still waiting on the professional pictures but I will post a few of our own.

We had no idea where to start and Wendy helped us every step of the way. The decorations and our cake were more beautiful than I imagined, I was so happy when I walked in and saw our Mrs. & Mr. table and the center pieces on the other tables, they were beautiful!! She was quick to answer any questions we had and work with us on any special things I requested. Our guest had a blast with the dj and bartender and the food was great and so were the workers. It rained the morning of and I was worried that we wouldn’t be able to get married where I wanted, but they made it happen and I was so happy for that. I loved the balcony and being able to use it for my pictures and to write my vows. My husband enjoyed having the grooms room and downstairs and thought it was awesome that I was upstairs and yet it was going to be a surprise to see me. Our guest enjoyed looking around the house and seeing a piece of history. There are so many beautiful places for pictures and we get lots of compliments on ours. Thank you Wendy and everyone else for helping making our day special.

Wendy was QUICK to respond, approachable/friendly, and willing to do whatever it took to make our day go how we wanted! We are a young couple and could’ve easily been in a situation where we felt intimidated or belittled by our wedding coordinator. That was the absolute opposite of our experience. We had a great day, and everyone loved the venue (including us)!

The 1812 provides such a unique wedding experience. The venue is gorgeous and has alot of charm. Wendy made my life and my day so easy and stress free (which was very important to me). It monsooned the day of my wedding but I didn't notice, that's how wonderful this place is. Wendy communicates and coordinates everything so that I always felt confident that I was going to be taken care of. I wanted a small wedding with a reception and dinner and it was exactly what I had planned in my mind. I could not have asked for a better experience, and did I mention the pictures are INCREDIBLE?!?!! I've gotten so many compliments on the wedding and the pictures. Thank you so much for a worry free, accomadative experience in a perfectly charming setting, I will cherish the memories for a lifetime. ❤️
